The case of Enrique Piñeyro who inspired "Whiskey Romeo Zulu" is a bit different; he not only starred in it, but also directed, wrote and produced it. So, to say he was allowed creative control would be an understatement. <br /><br />However, I'm not sure that him being allowed to have more control or act in the movie means there wouldn't be a lack of distortion in story telling; I mean, people write about their life story all the time and fabricate things.
