TI the leader of a generation!?
Rapper T.I. gave a statement at a press conference Friday (March 27) after being sentenced to one year and one day in prison for felony weapons charges.
He had been arrested in October 2007 on the even of the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
During his statement, T.I. referred to himself as a "leader of a generation."
I'm not going to say the guy's statement was heartfelt or that he is sorry for what he did.
However, as someone who covers police and is familiar with urban crime, I hope he truly does realize his influence.

That's strange, because back in November Kayne West already claimed to be "as the voice of this generation, of this decade."
Looks like we might have a clash of the overblown sense of importance titans.
